Marion County Public Schools, Monroe Regional Medical Center, and Marion County Children's Alliance are working together to implement the 5-2-1-0 Childhood Obesity Prevention Program.

Provide CPR and First Aid instruction to support
a "Heart Safe" school district and community

Address the obesity problem and the early onset
of diabetes in school age children

Decrease drug/alcohol abuse, suicide, homicide
and other forms of self-destructive behaviors

Promote student health, wellness and physical education curriculum to support CIM
Goal 7
Improve extracurricular and athletic activities
Goal 8
Develop resiliency through prevention and skill
building activities
