TITLE I PARENT RESOURCE CENTER! The Title I Parent Resource Center is located in Room 6 on the campus of Howard Academy Community Center

Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday
Open 8:00 am-4:30 pm
Closed 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
The Center’s goal is to provide assistance and resources for parents who need or want materials to work with their child to improve their academic achievement. The center is FILLED with educational materials, activities, and equipment that can be checked out by parents to assist their children in grades beginning with Pre-K through the 5th grade in the subject areas of reading, language arts, and math skills. These materials include: paper/pencil skill activities, activities created by the center staff that parents can make n’ take, and electronic equipment such as the Brain Child and Word Arcade. These resources target and reinforce the Sunshine state Standard skills as well as specific subject area skills. There are other materials such as math and vocabulary flash cards, boxed educational game activities focusing on punctuation skills, vowels, consonants, addition/subtraction, etc. |
