Consideration for Acceptance into Madison Street Academy
Consideration for acceptance into Madison Street Academy is based on enrollment openings in addition to the following criteria: Above average grades, high standardized test scores and student behavior.
Grades 1 & 2 students must have S or above in all academics and conduct, as well as 6, 7, 8 or 9 stanines on a standardized test (if available). Grades 3, 4 and 5 students must have C or above in all academics, with satisfactory conduct in all areas. FCAT scores must be Level 3 or above and / or standardized test stanine scores of 6, 7, 8 or 9. Daily attendance, including tardies, is also considered in the application process.
Items that MUST be submitted for your application to be complete:

Completed application with the most recent report card and standardized test scores.

A new report card or progress report must be submitted each nine week grading period.

If personal information (address, phone, etc.) changes, please contact the school to modify your application.

Failure to provide requested information will result in application being placed inactive or purged.

Falsification of this application will be grounds for immediate removal from MSA.
Waiting List Guidelines
Follow these Guidelines:
Applications must be submitted with the most recent report card and standardized test scores. Your application will remain active as long as you send us quarterly copies of report cards and any test data you might have. Applications can be downloaded here.
Every nine weeks a new report card or progress report must be submitted. Standardized test scores must also be provided at end of school year.
If there is an address change, please remember to modify the application by calling the school at 671-7250.
Once an opening is confirmed, and all applications have been reviewed, the following are used to determine candidacy: Academics, conduct, attendance, minority/majority ratio, siblings.
Students Entering Kindergarten

Your child must be at least four years old to apply.

Screening cannot be guaranteed for applications received after the first week in January.

Students may screen at only one school - Madison Street or Dr. N.H. Jones.

Post cards are mailed inviting students to participate in the screening process.
