Skills learned through the discipline of music are commonly associated with better study skills, communication skills, and cognitive skills useful in every part of the curriculum. Students who participate in music are more likely to excel in Math and Science and are more likely to work effectively in a school environment without resorting to violent or inappropriate behavior.

Madison Street’s Music Program has two professional instructors who collaborate together to create cohesive and effective music education stressing music fundamentals, appreciation and history. Their instruction includes string instruments, melody and percussion instruments as well as singing and keyboarding.

Our Music instructors are Mrs. Kathy Coleman, who also sponsors KIDZSING, KEYZ, BRAVO, and BRAVO; and Mr. David LeRoy who sponsors Strings.
