Reading is an important part of today's society. In everything we do, we need to be able to recognize that reading is an important aspect. We read street signs, caution signs, directions and recipes because life necesitates us to do so. But most importantly we need to read so that we can continue to have an open mind to what is out there in our world. Not everyone can go places they would like to in body, but everyone can go in mind, if only they would read a book. It was once said:
I've traveled the world twice over,
Met the famous; saints and sinners,
Poets and artists, kings and queens,
Old starts and hopeful beginners,
I've been where no one's been before,
Learned secrets from writers and cooks
All with one library ticket
To the wonderful world of books....
