FEE SCHEDULE
Student Category Funded Under Workforce Development:
- Resident Career Certificate Programs: $2.35 per student contact hours.
- Resident Continuing Workforce Education: $2.90 per student contact hour.
- Non -Resident Career Certificate or Continuing Workforce Education: $9.40 per student contact hour.
- Student without a high school diploma, functioning below eighth grade level, studying to achieve literacy. (No fees).
- Student with a high school diploma, functioning below eighth grade level, studying to achieve literacy. (No fees)
- Student earning credit for a high school diploma or preparing for the GED test. Implies that the student does not have a high school diploma. (No fees.)
- Student who has a high school diploma, but requires additional specific literacy skills to obtain employment: $1.16 per student contact hour unless TABE test indicates below eighth grade level, then there is no fee. Non-resident students: $4.66 per student contact hour.
- Student who has a high school diploma but desires to maintain or enhance professional competencies: $1.16 per student contact hour. Non-resident students: $4.66 per contact hour.
- Student who has a high school diploma but requires specific improvement of academic or learning skills before pursuing postsecondary career programs or courses: $1.16 per student contact hour. Non-resident students: $4.66 per contact hour.
- Student who has a high school diploma but requires specific improvement of academic or learning skills before pursuing post secondary degree-credit collegiate academic education or postsecondary career preparation programs or courses: $1.16 per student contact hour. Non-resident students: $4.66 per contact hour.
- Participants in recreational and leisure programs: $2.10 per student contact hour based on 12 students. If less than 12 students, the fee is prorated upward. If more than 12 students, the fee is not prorated downward. Fees for enrollment less than 12 students will be adjusted accordingly.
- Participants in recreational and leisure programs requiring a certified instructor: $2.50 per contact hour based on 12 students. If less than 12 students, the fee is prorated upward. If more than 12 students, the fee is not prorated downward. Fees for enrollment below 12 students will be adjusted accordingly.
- After School Enrichment Program and Summer Enrichment Program school students: $2.00 per contact hour based on 12 students. If less than 12 students, the fee is prorated upward. If more than 12 students, the fee is not prorated downward. Fees for enrollment below 12 students will be adjusted accordingly.
- Post Secondary Adult Vocational (PSAV) program application fee: $10.00
- Post Secondary Adult Vocational (PSAV) transcript request fee: $5.00
- Post Secondary Adult Vocational (PSAV) program late registration fee: $15.00
GED Fees:
Complete Battery - $50.00
Individual Sections - $10.00
Rescheduling Fee - $10.00
CTAE CAREER AND TECHNICAL PROGRAM APPLICATION PROCESS
Prior to actual registration any person interested in enrolling in a career and technical program at CTAE must complete the following steps. This process does not apply to course numbers that begin with an “E” or four digit course numbers.
- Attend program information session (if required)
- Take a TABE Test or Career Assessment (Please note: Both TABE Test and Career Assessment must be completed prior to submitting application):

TABE testing schedule is Tuesday and Thursday at 9:00 am, 1:00 pm, 6:00 pm, and Friday at 8:00am ONLY. Photo ID is required. *Testing is conducted in the TAB E Testing Room near the front office. Paper and pencil is provided. There is no fee for TABE testing. TEST IS APPROXIMATELY 1 ½ HOURS. *TABE test not required for students with a degree
B. Career Assessment (Contact Student Services for information on completing the career assessment using the internet)

- Submit completed application (front & back); TABE test and Career Assessment results; signed Letter of Understanding, Florida Residency Affidavit, supplemental packet (if required), and $10 processing fee (cash only) to the Student Services Department.
- Completed application packet will be forwarded to the appropriate program coordinator/manager for processing and approval.
CLASS CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Community Technical and Adult Education has a fair and equitable refund policy for the refund of tuition, fees, and other charges that is uniformly administered and is published in the CTAE catalog. This policy complies with the guidelines published by COE and Federal Title IV regulations.
Tuition refunds for CTAE students leaving prior to program completion are based on the following refund policy:
- In the event of class cancellation, all tuition and fees will be refunded within 30 days of the scheduled class start date.
- If a student formally withdraws before the first scheduled day of instruction, all tuition and fees excluding the $10.00 application/registration fee, will be refunded.
- For Community Education Fee classes: No refund will be given after the first class meeting.
- For Continuing Workforce (CWE) classes: If a student withdraws before completing two (2) days of a scheduled CWE class, a refund will be given within 30 days with or without a written request from the student. No refunds are made after the second class meeting or for fees of $10.00 or less.
- For PSAV programs: If a student withdraws before completing five (5) days of the first scheduled PSAV course of that payment/enrollment term, a refund will be given within 30 days with a request from the student. A processing fee of $25.00 will be retained on all PSAV refunds. No refunds are made after the 5th class meeting in a given term or for fees of $10.00 or less.
- Students who have not visited the school facility prior to enrollment will have the opportunity to withdraw without penalty following either attendance at a regularly scheduled orientation or following a tour of the facilities and inspection of the equipment. The $10.00 application fee is non-refundable.
- No refunds will be given for administratively withdrawn students.
- Online Refund Policy: All cancellations of class enrollment must occur prior to five (5) business days before the start of the scheduled class to receive a full refund. Individuals cancelling enrollment within the (5) day period preceding the start of a scheduled class will be assessed a $25.00 processing fee. The remainder of the class fee will be refunded to the individual via the same credit card used to pay for the class.
- A student who is called or enlists in active military service shall not incur academic or financial penalties by performing military service on behalf of our country
- For students receiving Title IV financial aid, federal regulations also apply.
- Fees for all classes in a respective term(s) are due at the time of registration.
