Financial Aid
Financial aid at CTAE consists of grants and scholarships, and is available to eligible students to help them in meeting educational expenses. Financial aid is calculated by determining the Cost of Attendance (COA) for a specific period of time or academic year. CTAE will use a 900hr/30 week academic year for most programs. A complete list of academic year information by program is available in the financial aid office. The Federal Pell grant Payment and Disbursement Schedules provided by ED is used to determine annual award amounts. The COA, Expected Family Contribution (EFC) and enrollment status of the student are used in these calculations. CTAE uses a Third Party Servicer-FAME to assist with these calculations. A complete policies and procedures manual is available for viewing in the financial aid office.

NET PRICE CALCULATOR
In accordance with the Higher Education Act of 2008 (HEOA), Community Technical & Adult Education (CTAE) must post a net price calculator that uses institutional data to provide estimated net price information to prospective students and their families based on a student's individual circumstances. Please note that these estimates apply to first-time full-time students only. These estimates do not represent a final determination, actual award of financial assistance or a final net price; they are estimates only based on the cost of attendance and financial aid provided to similar students in 09-10. Cost of attendance and financial aid availability change from year to year. These estimates shall not be binding on the Secretary of Education, CTAE, or the state of Florida.
Not all students receive financial aid. In the 09-10 school year approx. 60% of our of our-full-time students enrolling for the first time received grant/scholarship aid. Students must complete the FAFSA @ www.fafsa.gov to determine their eligibility for federal aid. CTAE does not participate in any type of loan programs.
