The Chairman's Award Winning Essay

2011 Florida Regional Governor's Award

The Florida Regional Governors Award was started at the 2006 Florida Regional to recognize the support of the Florida Governor – The Honorable Jeb Bush.
The Florida Governors Award, like the Chairman’s Award, honors the team judged to have created the best partnership effort among team participants, and to have best exemplified the true meaning of FIRST. The award helps keep the central focus of the FIRST Robotics Competition on the goal of inspiring greater levels of respect and honor for science and technology.
This team has demonstrated the impact FIRST has on the learning experience of the students, school curriculum, engineers, and/or community. How it should be a role model for other FIRST teams to emulate and how well the team communicated its excitement and impact within the entire school, community, and beyond.
