Purpose:

SALVETE! Welcome to the Junior Classical League, a club dedicated to developing responsibility, fostering brotherhood, promoting enthusiam, encouraging competition and enriching the total growth of FHS students through the Classics!
We compete at the regional, state and national levels in three different areas: academics, creativity, and athletics. Furthermore, we do have social activites, such as, Induction Night, Saturnalia, and the End-of the-Year Banquet. |

JCL Latin Club is open to anyone who is a Latin course or has taken a Latin course. |

Major Activities:

We volunteer in the United Way Carnival, Relay for Life, and American Heart Association activities. We are excited to try out our grant-writing abilities and look to earn a grant to promote the humanities in the community through the Florida Humanities Council.

At the end of the year we celebrate Roman Week when we do all kinds of crazy things, such as wearing togas around the school, dressing like twins, teaching other people about Latin Phrases, and finally we culminate the week with a Roman banquet.
