Miss Alexander graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Instrumental Music Education.  She then taught band at all levels in Tennessee and Indiana for three years before going back to Western Kentucky University for her Masters in Education in Music.  Miss Alexander came to Forest High School in 1999.  She is a member of Florida Music Educators Association and Florida Bandmasters Association.  Miss Alexander has also played horn professionally since college, her last appointment with the Central Florida Symphony Orchestra and the Central Florida Philharmonic.  She can be seen cycling fast through the streets and highways around Marion and Citrus counties.
