6th Grade Math

Enter class quietly and take your seat.
Bell work is either on the white board or displayed on the Interwrite board.
Homework is on the back boards
When work is finished, sit quietly and wait for instructions.
3 easy to remember rules:
1. Respect. Respect for all staff and students.
2. Raise your hand.
3. Walk

Expectations: Your work is to be complete, including any sheets that you used to work out the questions. Neat. If I can’t read it, I can’t grade it. I do not accept work that has been drawn on, torn, or otherwise misused. Returned work: Some work will be given back with the opportunity to resubmit it. Homework is to be finished and ready to hand in at the beginning of class. With the exception of unexpected absence, late work may be turned in the next day for 65% credit. I can be reached by email, phone, or at school in the morning to help answer questions. I expect your best effort and I know you will succeed!

Materials Needed: Students will need to have a pencil, sharpener, pen, composition note book, and a 2 inch 3-ring binder.

Grading/Evaluation:

Grades are based on the Marion County grading scale

Grades for my class will be divided into the following categories and percentiles:

Homework 10%
Quizzes 15%
Class Work (includes notebook) 25%
Participation & Extra Credit 5%
Focus Calendar Tests 5%
Tests 30%
Projects 10%

I may be reached by email, phone, planner or stop in after school. I know that as we work together, this will be a great school year! Remember, my goal is to help you to succeed.
