Course Description:

The purpose of this course is to provide opportunities to study the concepts of matter, energy, and forces of energy through exploratory investigations, activities, and applications.

One of our main goals in Physical Science is to help students understand the nature of scientific knowledge and how that knowledge is created and evaluated. To do this, we will focus on the following: unifying concepts and processes of science, properties and changes of properties of matter, motions and forces, types of energy and transfer of energy, and interactions among science, technology, and society. Laboratory investigations are an integral component of this course.
