Class Syllabus
Textbooks: This year our Math program will follow our NGSSS, New Generation Sunshine State Standards. Our new state adopted textbook is Glencoe Math Concepts. Students are issued a text or cd to use at home. This will give students a chance to review materials at home and allow parents to follow their child’s progression during the year.
Classroom Policies and Procedures:
Be Prompt- Students need to be in their classroom when the bell rings.
Be Prepared- Students need to have planners, binders, homework and 2 sharpened pencils daily.
Be Productive- Students need to apply themselves independently and cooperatively.
Be Polite and respectful of students and staff at all times. Do not talk while someone else is talking. This also includes putting down another student’s work, bullying or tormenting other students.
Consequences:
1. Warning 2. Move seat/write behavior contract 3. Contact parents 4. Send to Dean
Supplies Needed: 3 Ring Binder Loose Leaf paper 3 dividers 2 sharpened pencils at all times spiral notebook for bellwork
Extra Classroom Supplies: dry erase markers, gallon Ziploc baggies, tissues, hand sanitizer.
Homework- Homework is given on Monday for the entire week and is due daily. It is the student’s responsibility to copy homework from the board. If a student is absent it is still their responsibility to copy homework from the board.
Projects- Students will have a take home project each quarter. A description will accompany student so that they know what is required. Each day the project is late the student loses a letter grade on the project.

Test 40% Projects:10% Quizzes: 15% Classwork:20% Homework:10%
