Welcome to Horizon Academy at Marion Oaks for the 2012-2013 school year.  I am Shaye Bureau, a 7th grade inclusion teacher here at Horizon Academy.  This year I will be working in Ms. Cook's math classes (1,2,3,4,& 6)  and Mrs. Bensonhaver's 5th period Language Arts class.  I support and teach the students within their general education classes.  I also teach one on one in a small setting, test in a small setting, conduct IEP meetings and make sure that the students are receiving and using the appropriate accommodations placed on their IEPs.

On a personal level, I was born and raised in Connecticut.  My BA is from Eastern Connecticut State University and I also have a Master's Degree. In 2004 I became a National Board Certified Teacher.  This is my 25th year of teaching.  I taught for 3 years at North Marion Middle, 12 years at Fort Clarke Middle School in Gainesville and then Sunrise Elementary and Horizon Academy.
