CONGRATULATIONS LIBERTY MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHERS, STUDENTS AND STAFF. I AM VERY PROUD TO SAY THAT WE ARE AN "A" SCHOOL  AGAIN!!!!!!!!

This is our  third straight year accomplishing this status and it is due to your dedication to the education profession and the students we serve. Also, thank you to our parents and community partners for your continued support in the educational process.

Everyone deserves to be commended. I am proud to be the principal of such a great school community of teachers, students, staff, parents and business partners.

Congratulations again and I look forward to an exciting 2011-2012 school year that will be filled with many successes!!!!!!!

Special Olympics 2012

Congratulations to our 6 students who participated in the 2012 Special Olympics on February 28th.  Our LMS students brought home 1st place in the following categories:  Banner competition, running long jump (2 students), 100 meter dash (3 students), 400 meter (2 students) and shot put.

2012 Marion County Basketball Champs!

Congratulations to both the boys and girls basketball teams!  On Saturday, February 25th, both teams were victorious, earning first place in Marion County!  Go Lions!

Mid-Year Academic Awards Ceremony

Mid-Year Academic Awards Ceremonies took place to reward students of each grade level who earned all A's and all A's and B's during the first semester.  Also, students were recognized and nominated by department for Most Improved and for their PRIDE.

2nd Nine Weeks No Referral Whirl

Over 840 students celebrated their good choices at our 2nd 9 Weeks' No Referral Whirl!  Students had sno-cones and chips while listening to music and spending time with their friends!

Congratulations LMS LEGO Club!!!!

Our LEGO Club, in it's inaugural year, brought home the Inspiration Award!  This award celebrates a team that is empowered by their FLL experience and displays extraordinary enthusiasm and spirit.  There were 28 teams at the event, including 2 from Puerto Rico!  Congratulations, team!

Marion County Volleyball Tournament

Congratulations to our volleyball team who placed 3rd in the county-wide tourneament held at Liberty Middle School on Saturday, November 5, 2011!

First 9 Weeks No Referral Whirl

Over 850 students enjoyed a treat for their good behavior!  Students without referals during the first nine weeks had ice cream or sno-cones and lollipops while enjoying some music and time with their friends on the early release day.

 **8th Grade Trip to Washington, DC**

This school year the Washington DC trip for qualifying 8th grade students will take place Monday, March 12, 2012, through Friday, March 16, 2012.  Sponsors for this trip are Mr. Hill and Mrs. Sutton.

If you would like to be a volunteer for an event taking place at Liberty Middle School, you can now access the volunteer form from this website! Click here to print out the form and be sure to fill it out completely. Then bring it to the office, along with a copy of the front and back of your driver's license. It's as easy as that!
