Yearbooks
Sponsor: Ms. O'Donnell
Yearbook Club meets every Thursday after school in Ms. O'Donnell's room. Students must be enrolled in her Yearbook class to be a member of the club. Students must be picked up no later than 5:00 pm.
Digital yearbooks are being sold this year for $25.00. Bring your check or cash to Ms. O'Donnell in Building 2, Room 211. If writing a check please make it payable to Liberty Middle School.

About FFA
Students will practice for different contests in the FFA. They will practice parliamentary procedure, public speaking, forestry, horticulture, soils, livestock, tools, meats, poultry, veggies, and more!

Book Bowl
Sponsor: Mrs. Adams
In April of 2006, the first annual Middle School Book Bowl was held. In February, this year’s team will be selected. Students have to read at least 12 of the 15 titles and qualify based on scores and an overall quiz.
The five-member team will compete with other schools in the county on knowledge relating to the selected fifteen books.

Archery
Sponsor: Mrs. D. Johnson
Archery club will start around the last week of January. Announcements for sign up will be made on the morning show when we return from Winter Break. Students will be asked to pick up a permission form from student services, have parents complete it, and bring it with them to the first meeting.
Club meetings will be held on Mondays from 2:30 - 3:30 PM. Students must have a ride waiting for them promptly at 3:30 in order to participate.
Any student may participate, whether they are an experienced archer or a beginner wanting to learn the skill. Conduct and Grade point average must meet the Student Code of Conduct guidelines.

Kiwanis Builder's Club
Sponsors: Mrs. A. Johnson and Mrs. Boemio
Club meetings are held every other Friday at 7:35 a.m. in Mrs. Boemio's classroom (2-113).
Builder's Club is the largest service organization for middle school and junior high sctudents, with more than 40,000 members worldwide. Builder's Club is a "student-led" community service organization that operates under school regulations and draws its members from the student body. Liberty Middle School's Builder's Club is sponsored by Friendship Kiwanis of Ocala.

Mission: Builder's Club is an international student-led organization providing members with opportunities to perform service, build character, and develop leadership.

BETA Club

BETA Club is comprised of students who have at least a 3.5 GPA. BETA meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month after school until 3:00 pm, in Mrs. Kepner's Room (4-206).
Convention money of $40.00 is due to Mrs. Lawniczak by Thursday, October 28, 2010.

FBLA

FBLA meets every Thursday (1st & 3rd Executive Meeting for Officers only and 2nd & 4th General Meeting for All Members)immediately after school in Ms. Brown's classroom(2-110). Meetings end at 3:30 pm
Members of FBLA must be enrolled in Business & Technology with Ms. Brown for at least one semester of the academic year.
Purpose of FBLA:
Develop competent, aggressive business leadership
Strengthen the confidence of students in themselves and their work
Create more interest in and understanding of American business enterprise
Encourage members in the development of individual projects which contribute to the improvement of home, business, and community
Develop character, prepare for useful citizenship, and foster patriotism
Encourage and practice efficient money management
Encourage scholarship and promote school loyalty
Assist students in the establishment of occupational goals

Drama Club
Sponsor: Mrs. Swift and Mrs. Schaeffer
Drama Club meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 2:20 to 4:00 PM in the cafeteria.
The purpose of the Liberty Middle School Drama Club is to inspire young talented students to express themselves through the art of theater. They do this by learning how to communicate effectively with other students, creating a foundation for growth in producing, directing and performing on stage, and becoming extraordinary leaders in the school and community. Our philospohy is to encourage and inspire students to find their own path and except who they truly are, the unique individual who no one can duplicate.
Drama Club is a performance organization. Membership is obtained by paying dues, attending meetings, and helping with Drama-related activities. Students are held accountable for maintaining an overall grade point average of 2.0 or higher. If not, they will be put on probation until their grade point average is 2.0 or higher. Students will not be eligible to participate if they are suspended or behavior does not represent the organization well, which will be determined by the advisors, teachers, and administration.
If students are picked up late more than three times after meetings or events, they will be put on probation and unable to participate in drama activities determined by the advisors.

LEGO Robotics Club
Sponsor: Mrs. Lawniczak and Mrs. Engelgau
Our newest club allows students to explore their knowledge in math and science through the world of LEGO!
The LEGO Robotics Club will meet to form a team and compete in the FLL competition. FIRST LEGO League (FLL) puts children in charge. Teams mix curiosity and imagination with LEGO bricks, sensors, motors, and gears to invent unique, autonomous robots cabable of completing various missions. The Challenge is based on a set of real-world problems facing scientists and engineers today.
It has two parts:the Robot Challenge and the Project.
