NEW: Book Returns 

All textbooks and library books are to be returned. Please be sure your child turns in his/her books as soon as possible. Note: students will be responsible for the cost of all lost books.


NEW: Students who have checked out books for summer reading have a due date of August 21st for return. For students who would like to return books sooner and check out more, the library will be open four days this summer between the hours of 9:00 am and 11:00 am.

NEW: Final Exams - Local End of Course Exams (LEOCEs) and final exams will be administered the last three days of school, June 1st - 3rd. These days are early release days and students will take two tests each day. It is very important that all students are on time and present for each of these days as these tests will impact their final grades.

How can you help your child prepare for these exams?

  • Ask your child about the study guides provided in class.
  • Help your child study by asking questions based on the study guide.  
  • Email or call your child's teacher if you have any questions or concerns. 
  • Make sure your child is on time and present for the tests on June 1st - 3rd.

NEW: Final Report Card- Students can bring in $2.00 starting Monday, May 18th thru the end of the school year and we will mail their final report card home. Otherwise report cards can be picked up at LWMS starting June 15, 2015.


THE LAST 3 DAYS OF SCHOOL- please leave all backpacks at home, they will not be necesssary for school.

If you are interested in volunteering your time at Lake Weir Middle we ask that  you please fill out volunteer applicatiion and attach a copy of your drivers licence. Applications can be delivered to the front desk or returned to school with your student. Click here for the application. A new application must be filled out every year.
