Student Supervision:

General student supervision begins at 7:20 a.m. and ends at 2:30 p.m. Students who are not bus riders should not be dropped off at the school before this time. Parents are expected to secure any other arrangements necessary due to individual circumstances. There is no supervisory duty before 7:20 or after dismissal and the school can not be held responsible for your child during that time period. Students who are repeatedly picked up late will be placed in the extended day program. After three incidences, the parent is responsible for paying the expense for the after school care.

Class Size

In keeping with the State of Florida classroom reduction requirements Marion Oaks has a 1:18 ratio in grades K-2, and a 1:22 ratio in grade 3-5.

Cafeteria:

Breakfast is served each morning in the cafeteria. All students may eat breakfast FREE.

Lunches are paid for daily or in advance. Advance or prepayments are made in the cafeteria between 7:30 - 7:40 a.m. daily or online at http://www.marion.k12.fl.us/dept/fsd/student.cfm#mealpay. Checks should be made payable to Marion Oaks Elementary School Cafeteria. Emergency charging may be necessary upon occasion; however, after three days the courtesy of charging will be withdrawn.
