I am very excited about the 2012-2013 school year. The information included on this webpage will help students and parents work together with me to insure that every child will be successful in this class. This course is designed to provide students with skills, strategies, and practice to improve their reading so they can be successful in their other classes and in life.  Student success will be measured based on growth and achievement.

Because the majority of work is done in class, attendance is a very important factor in your child's success. If your child misses class frequently, they will fall behind and it will be difficult for them to be successful in this class.

This is my sixth year teaching at North Marion Middle School. I am a graduate of the University of Florida.  I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a major in Marketing.  I made the choice to enter the world of teaching so that I could help to give our children the best resources available to prepare them for the future.

My current certification is Middle Grades Integrated (5-9). I also have a Reading endorsement and an ESOL endorsement.
