Welcome to Oakcrest Elementary School
of International Studies!

IB students

It is with great pride that we look forward to the start of a new school year.  Our academic goals and behavioral responsibilities are set very high for our students at Oakcrest Elementary School of International Studies. Our requirements far exceed the expectations set by the Marion County School Board.

We are passionate about our students’ high academic performance.  It is our desire that our students will succeed as they pursue their future education, professional and personal goals.  We will continue to emphasize student responsibility, and will not tolerate disruptive students.  The hard work of our teachers and students along with the support of our parents is greatly commended as we strive for high levels of academic success.

Our IB Program

We are very excited to announce that Oakcrest Elementary School has attained authorization to offer the Primary Years Program (PYP) as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World school!

Oakcrest Elementary School chose the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program because the implementation of this well-established and respected program will provide all of our students with the skills and attitudes to be highly successful, productive and responsible citizens who have a wealth of relevant 21st century skills.

Attention Car Riders!

  • Parents may not, under any circumstances, park and get out of their vehicle to wait for their children at dismissal. You must pick up or drop off your child in the car line at the west entrance (enter from old Jacksonville RD and proceed to cafeteria) of the school and wait in your vehicle. An adult staff member will bring your child to your vehicle during dismissal.
  • Students will not be checked out after 1:40 P.M (11:40am on Early Release Days).  If you need to pick up your child before 1:40 p.m., you must park in the north parking lot (in front of the main office) and bring in a government issued I.D. (i.e., driver’s license/state id)
  •  You will be given a car rider sign with your child’s name to display in the window of your vehicle.
  • Please observe safe speeds while on campus (5mph).
  •  Pull up behind the last car in line.
  • Stay in one lane. NEVER CROSS OVER LANES OR GET OUT OF LINE.
  • Students that are dropped off prior to 7:25 a.m. in the morning or not picked up after 15 minutes in the afternoon will be sent to Extended Day. Parents are responsible for all Extended Day charges.
