Advanced Courses


Advanced Math

Students in grades 6-8 may be scheduled in advanced math. These students would have demonstrated through standardized testing and academic performance that they would benefit from a more in-depth mathematical course.

Advanced Science

Students in grades 6, 7 and 8 may be scheduled in advanced science. These students would have demonstrated through standardized testing and academic performance that they would benefit from an enriched science course.   Students enrolled in advanced science are expected to complete a science fair project.

Advanced Social Studies

Students in grades 7 and 8 may be scheduled in advanced social studies. These students would have demonstrated through standardized testing and academic performance that they would benefit from an enriched social studies course.

This high school leveled course is offered to 7th and 8th grade students who demonstrate the potential of success illustrated from academic performance, algebraic screening, and standardized test results.

This high school leveled course is offered to 8th grade students who demonstrate the potential of success illustrated from successful completion of Honors Algebra I, and standardized test results.

Gifted Studies

Students that qualify (according to psychological testing and documentation of need) for the gifted program are served through an advanced language program.
