Beginning of Class:
a. Entering the Classroom: Students will enter the classroom quietly, immediately sit in their assigned seats, and complete their Bell-work Assignment (Journal /Video Writing Prompt). This assignment will always be displayed on the SMART board and/or written on the far right side of the board. There will be absolutely “No Talking” during this assignment. Students who violate this procedure by not immediately sitting in their assigned seats will be marked tardy and given a Behavior Warning Card (Yellow or Red).

If students are more than (10) minutes late to class they will be marked absent and must report to Attendance to check-in. Attendance will give students a Tardy Pass to return to class. After silent reading, students will complete a writing assignment (Reading Summary) about what they read. However, if a student needs to use the bathroom during class time, permission must be obtained. Students are permitted only one bathroom break during class.
