1. We took some time to finish the crosswords from Act I.

3. We read Act II from The Crucible. Pages 1161 - 1181 in the textbook if you were absent and need to catch up.

OR

Write about a time that jealousy (your own or someone else’s) caused a problem for you.

2. Following the journal, we started Act III from The Crucible - pages 1187-1203 in the textbook.

3. HOMEWORK - Vocabulary Flashcards for The Crucible due next class!!!

4. After reading today, we discussed the scheduling of the midterm exam and review guides were distributed.

Notebook check scheduled for Thursday and Friday 12/13-14, same day as the midterm.

If you know you are going to be absent for the midterm, I will allow you to take it early, AND turn in your notebook early. All notebooks must be turned in no later than January 4.

You (or someone you know) was asked to “name names” or implicate others in a problematic situation.

2. Following the journal, we read Act III and started Act IV. This can be found on page 1207-1227 in the textbook.

3. Students recieved a copy of #8 - Character Web and #9 - Chrono/Log for their notebooks.

1. Vocabulary Test - The Crucible - IF ABSENT - YOU MUST MAKE UP THIS TEST ON OR BEFORE DECEMBER 14!!!!!!!!!

2. We finished reading Act IV - pages 1127 - 1133 in your textbook.

3. Following reading we discussed the Themes of The Crucible.

4. We further discussed the Midterm and started the movie for The Crucible.

5. Notebooks due and Midterms next class!! Thursday, December 13 or Friday, December 14. Notebook requirements below:

1. New table of contents - no TOC, no grade

2. Name and period on table of contents

3. ALL pages numbered and titled according to the table of contents.

4. Pages must be in order of table of contents - out of order notebooks will not be graded.

5. Handouts, worksheets and assignments must be completed

1. Midterm and Notebook check. Late notebooks will NOT be accepted after January 4 - the new teacher will not be grading them or have access to the quarter 2 gradebook.

2. Finish watching The Crucible.

3. Final grades for Quarter 2/Semester 1 will be finalized by me - therefore all make up must be turned in by December 14. Your last assignments include:
