Head Coach Ryan Hearn

Coach Hearn enters his first year as head football coach of the Wolf Pack. He came to West Port after serving five years as Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. Prior to his time on The Citadel staff he served as a graduate assistant for coach Jim Leavitt at the University of South Florida.

A three-year letterman for USF, Hearn earned his bachelor’s degree in 2003, graduating and joining the coaching staff.  Following his playing career, he worked with the defensive staff during the 2003 season and spent 2004 with the offense while earning his master’s degree.

As a player at South Florida, Hearn was tabbed as team captain during his senior season in 2002. Immediately after his collegiate playing days came to an end, Hearn spent one season playing in the Arena Football League, spending time as a valued member of the Orlando Predators and the Tampa Bay Storm.

A graduate of Belleview High School, Hearn was a Class 4A All-State free safety as a sophomore in 1995. He earned All-County in each of his three varsity seasons.
