| Description/Objectives: |
An introduction to fabrics and fibers history, theory, techniques and materials. Students will explore creative uses of fibers as an art medium as they investigate the elements and principles of design.
Produce fabric and fiber 2-D and 3-D objects using a variety of techniques and concepts.

| Materials Needed: |
Various multi media materials may be brought from home to add to enhancing student made Fabric and Fiber objects.
The material fee for Fabrics and Fibers assist with providing a variety of supplies to explore creating 2-D and 3-D objects. Supplies may include an assortment of yarn, string, rope, assortment of beads, variety of embellishments, dye, various fabric, etc.

| Grading/Evaluation: |
Students will receive a weekly grade reflecting their participation/progress on the current assignment.
Students will also receive a project grade approximately every 4 1/2 weeks. The project grade will be an assessment of the following categories: originality, technical expertise, design, and final outcome.
