My name is Mrs. Alesia Mizell, Business Education teacher at West Port High School. Your son or daughter is scheduled to participate in a business course this year. I am extremely excited about teaching your child this term. In each business class, reading will be infused throughout the curriculum. Since all work is produced during class time, it is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that students are present in class, every day. When students miss a class, they lack knowledge to go on to the next lesson. It is very easy to become overwhelmed when students get behind in their daily class assignments. If a student is in class every day, he or she will most likely pass with a “C” or better. The key is attendance.

I am also the club sponsor for Future Business Leaders of America, aka, FBLA.  Students in business classes are encouraged to join and actively participate.  If you are interested, please see the website for additional information.

My credentials inlcude an Associate of Science in Secretarial Science from Brunswick Junior College in Brunswick, Georgia; Associate of Arts from Lake-Sumter Community College in Leesburg, Florida; Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with Computer Information Specialization from Saint Leo College in Saint Leo, Florida; teaching credentials from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida; and Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in Miami, Florida.

I am a Georgia native and have been married to a Florida native for 19 years.  As a country girl I love our farm life, and this lifestyle is the basis for my work ethic.  I believe hard work and dedication will pay off in the long run.
